PBA legend to conduct basketball clinic for young athletes in Ilocos Norte

The Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte, in partnership with Mr. Arwind Santos, regarded as a PBA legend who was a former San Miguel Beermen player and nine-time PBA champion, will conduct a basketball clinic for young athletes at the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena in Laoag City on November 16.

Mr. Santos will coach 40 amateur basketball players from various athletic associations who will receive special evaluation and instruction on the game and learn the basics to improve their skills and confidence.

He will also promote his collaboration with a local shoe brand, which will be available for purchase during the event.

PGIN, under the leadership of Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc, continues to increase the impact of its sports development initiatives as Ilocos Norte carves the province as the Sports Hub of Northern Luzon through collaboration with notable sports figures.

The Ilocos Norte Sports Development Office said that the clinic would be a great opportunity for Ilocos Norte to enable Ilokano youth and develop young sports enthusiasts for different sports by providing them with such opportunities.

Mr. Santos will also attend the Himala sa Buhangin! Arts and Music Festival on the same day at the Paoay Sand Dunes as a guest celebrity.
