PAGCOR conducts "BBM Serbisyo Caravan" in Ilocos Norte
Published on: December 02, 2024By: Kenneth Dhovan NatividadPresident Ferdinand "Bong Bong" Marcos, Jr., through the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), in partnership with the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte, conducted a two-day government service caravan at the Ilocos Norte Centennial Arena on November 29 and 30, 2024.
The “Bawat Buhay Mahalaga (BBM) Serbisyo Caravan” is an initiative of PBBM through PAGCOR to bring government services, particularly medical offerings closer to communities.
Gov. Marcos Manotoc expressed his gratitude for the conduct of the event in Ilocos Norte, saying:
"We are very honored to have ito pong [BBM] Serbiyo Caravan, and we hope for a stronger and closer partnership and friendship with PAGCOR.
In my almost five and a half years bilang gobernador, I think this is our first PAGCOR event na ganito kalaki kaya we are very thankful," he added.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ramon Stephen Villaflor, head of PAGCOR’s Corporate Social Responsibility Group, said, "PAGCOR brought the Bawat Buhay Mahalaga Serbisyo Caravan to Ilocos Norte as part of our mission to make essential services accessible to communities across the country."
PAGCOR donated over P 50 million worth of assistance, distributing bicycles for Barangay Bike Patrols, Go Bag First Aid Emergency Kits, assorted medicines, dental supplies, medical-related and assistive devices, wheelchairs, walking canes, cot beds, reading glasses, glucose, cholesterol and uric acid monitoring devices, livelihood packages, and educational grants.
PAGCOR will also to donate two units of 2D echo ultrasound machines and six units of portable ventilators to PGIN-managed hospitals.
Over 3,000 Ilokanos benefitted from free medical consultations and services, medicines, food packs, and other essential community assistance.
This is the second “BBM Serbisyo Caravan” in the country following its inaugural conduct in Bulacan in 2023.
