MagnoThe Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte (PGIN), through its Communications and Media Office (CMO), and in collaboration with the Philippine Information Agency, will conduct a training for information officers on April 19, at the Sola Hotel, Laoag City.
Titled “Effective Government Communications and Public Information Training,” CMO aims to equip information officers in local government units and provincial offices of national government agencies with the essential and up-to-date skills and knowledge relevant in their roles.
Certain professionals in the communications field will discuss relevant topics such as Press Release and News Writing and Strategies; Media Relations, Press Conference, Interview and Media Advisory; Social Media Branding; and Editing Tools and Hacks, among others.
Participants are expected to gain valuable skills and insights that will enable them to elevate the quality of government communications and information dissemination in the province.
CMO advocates for the effective utilization of communication strategies, especially during crises situations, to disseminate critical information to affected localities, as well as timely delivery of emergency responses.
With this training, PGIN, led by Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc, emphasizes the importance of strengthening communication channels and fostering good public relations to ensure that government initiatives and programs are readily available to the public.
