Over 2,000 jobs offered at Independence Day job fair

MagnoThe Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte (PGIN), through the Public Employment Service Office, and in partnership with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, and the Department of Labor and Employment conducted a job fair at Robinsons Place Ilocos on June 12, offering 2,100 employment opportunities to Ilokano job seekers.
In time for the 125th Anniversary of Philippine Independence and Nationhood, the said job fair served as a platform for job seekers to engage with industry professionals, present their skills and qualifications, and explore a wide range of employment opportunities. With a total of 51 companies in attendance, the event catered to diverse fields such as government agencies, private companies, healthcare facilities, manpower agencies, among others.
During the event, 495 job seekers had the opportunity to interact with hiring managers, submit their resumes, and participate in on-the-spot interviews, thus expediting the hiring process which resulted to partner companies hiring 102 capable applicants on-the-spot.
The success of the “Independence Day Job Fair 2023” is a testament to the collaborative efforts of partner companies, dedicated job seekers, and the support of the local community. The event showcased the province’s active job market, highlighting the diverse industries and the abundance of talent in the region.
